Triennial Renewal

Renewal is required to maintain an active endorsement with SCIMHA.
Renewal is on a three-year cycle. Anyone endorsed in 2026 or earlier will renew their endorsement by 12/31/2027.
Each endorsee must attest to meeting the following requirements for the endorsement credential they wish to maintain:
  • Training Hours: 45 hours of training specific to social emotional well-being in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health.
    • Endorsed Reflective Supervisor and Mentor Clinical must have 9 hours of training on reflective supervision/consultation
  • Reflective Supervision/consultation: 36 hours for Family Specialist, Mental Health Specialist, Mentor-Clinical categories, and the Endorsed Reflective Supervisor add-on.
  • Maintain SCIMHA membership
*Professionals endorsed mid-cycle must meet the corresponding average requirements.
* Up to 7 hours spent as an endorsement application advisor or reviewer or an exam reviewer count toward the annual 15 hours requirement.
