SCIMHA's IECMH Clinical Certificate is for mental health professionals who diagnose and provide therapeutic treatment services. This 10-month learning collaborative will provide professionals with in-depth training in relationship-based, developmentally appropriate assessments and an introduction to IECMH clinical practice.

Audience: Providers of mental health treatment services
Cost: $1,900 per participant
Length: 10 months, approximately 70 hours
Learning Schedule: Synchronous
Months 1-4: Assessment, formulation, diagnosis (varies)
Months 5-9: Treatment (three hours) and case conference (one hour)
Month 10: Wrap-up (three hours)
Content Focus: Infant mental health clinical practices
Includes: Working Model of the Child Interview Crowell Procedure and DC: 0-5 Training

Training Content

  • Introduction to Relationship-Based Assessments and Interventions
  • Training in Working Model of the Child Interview and Crowell Procedure
  • Training in DC:0–5™ Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood Version
  • Overview of IECMH Evidence-Based Practices including Attachment Biobehavioral Catch-up, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Preschool PTSD Treatment
  • Clinical case conceptualization with other IECMH professionals
